I am an Associate Professor of Economics (with tenure) at the University of Missouri and a Research Fellow at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. I was also previously the Chief Domestic Economist and Senior Adviser at the White House Council of Economic Advisers from 2020 to 2021. My research focuses on the intersection of macroeconomics, finance, real estate, and labor. I received my Ph.D. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and my Bachelor's in economics and mathematics from Duke University.
