I am currently on academic leave serving as Member and Vice Chairman at the White House Council of Economic Advisers.
I am a tenured Associate Professor of Real Estate Finance and Economics in the Mitch Daniels School of Business at Purdue University and a Research Fellow at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. My research focuses on real estate, household finance, and quantitative macroeconomics. I received my Ph.D. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and my Bachelor's degree in economics and mathematics from Duke University.
